Valentine Limericks

I can’t resist a limerick prompt, and Vincent threw out a handful for the holiday.

Red, heart, candy, and rose; the challenge was to use one or more of those. Hee!

With apologies to Ogden Nash, I give you:

A scientist made out a chart
Of the ways to a new lover’s heart.
“If candy is dandy
But liquor is quicker
Those and roses should be a good start.”

Arms loaded and cheeks rather red,
He set out to charm his dear Fred.
He offered the presents,
Sprouted tumescence,
Fred noticed and dragged him to bed!
